Thailand offers Asia's fastest EPS growth, best economic turnaround and cheapest valuations. Traders should find an attractive catch-up play and long-term investors can buy into a sustained P/E rerating.

■ Thailand is poised for a healthy economic recovery. The prerequisites for a revival of consumption and private investment are in place. Unemployment is low, inflation and interest rates have fallen, banks want to lend, and corporates have cash to spend.
■ Earnings growth next year should be robust. We expect bottom-up factors and a macro recovery to produce core market EPS growth of 22% next year the highest in Asia.
■ P/E rerating likely. We believe that valuation discounts to the region have reached critical levels. Even if the economy fails to recover, the market offers a trading opportunity. If the economy revives, a lasting rerating is likely.
■ Buy domestically oriented stocks and sectors. We assume coverage of the Thai market with an OVERWEIGHT stance on stocks exposed to domestic demand. We favour the telecommunications, banks, media and property sectors.
■ SET target 1,132. Based on regional comparisons and historical benchmarks, our 12-month target provides 29% potential upside from current levels.
